The people of the Neath. Or, at least, those who seem more people than other.

Humanity in the Neath primarily consists of inhabitants and descendants of the various [[The Fallen Cities|Fallen Cities]], the people of the [[The Elder Continent|Elder Continent]], and [[The Surface|Surface]] folk who have either journeyed below temporarily or settled permanently.

As a small footnote: there are multiple types of beings in the Neath that may be considered "human" per se. [[The Tomb-Colonies|Tomb-colonists]] are essentially folks who refused to just die, and [[snuffers]] have an extra element of grotesqueness to make them unique. It is also worth mentioning that death works quite oddly in the Neath thanks to the presence of the life-giving [[The Elder Continent|Elder Continent]]; plain old everyday folks are very hard to kill permanently. Decapitation is one of the few injuries that is sufficient to conclusively end someone's life; [[The Cantigaster|cantigaster]] venom will also do the trick.
