"'ere, longshanks! Slivvy says 'as 'ow you wants to get rid of your wind-brand. And for a wery reasonable price."

Slivvy is an urchin with a stutter that lives in the Flit, a shaman-boy who communicate with the wind,[1] who is the zee-god Storm.[2] At Storm’s command, he sometimes kills, sending heavy stones plummeting from the great heights of the Flit.[3]

The port-wine birthmark on Slivvy's face, along with his stutter, are signs of "the Lightning's Kiss," which he received during a storm.[4] Among the urchins, Slivvy is held in high regard.[5] Yet he belongs to no single gang, considering himself the last of his kind.[6]

Storm’s whispers fill his mind with secrets, making him exceptionally knowledgeable,[7] well-informed,[8] and deeply connected.[9] To escape its endless murmuring, he often perches atop the Royal Bethlehem Hotel, where the madmen’s ravings drown out the god’s voice and grant him a moment’s peace.[10] But when Storm is displeased, it punishes him with agonizing headaches.[11]

Slivvy knows the rites to free a Seeker of the Name from their doomed Quest—if they can offer fair compensation.[12]

Don't p-p-piss him off, that's my advice. And if you don't want to piss him off, don't piss the Bone Men off. Or me, come to that."

Deliver Sphinxstone to the boy Slivvy, Sunless Sea "The urchin Slivvy has arranged cradles for the rocks. “We are going to drop them on people Storm doesn't like,” he tells you. “Squash them f-f-flat. It's alright if a g-g-god tells you to do it.” Is he joking? It's difficult to tell, with Slivvy."

He speaks of old things, stone things, the screams the stars forget. He speaks of messages, monsters, the courier and its net. He speaks of home. And then he lets the Aeolian Scream out of its vessel. When you recover consciousness, the Urchin is gone. [...] And your mind is clearer than it has been in weeks."
