Ladybones Road
"What can you find in Ladybones Road? Moloch Street Underground Station is the first stop on the journey to Hell. Clathermont's Tattoo Parlour, haunt of spies, is here. Hangman's Arch can be a good place to hear gossip, and is always a good place for a hanging."[1]
Ladybones Road, or Ladybones, is a major district of London.
Secrets for All to See
"Fallen London is a city of secrets. If you're here to find them, Ladybones Road is the place to start."[2]

Ladybones Road is a place known for its secrets, mysteries, and intrigues.[2][3] For instance, it's rife with Hellish graffiti that's tricky to decipher, but hints of Hell's internal affairs.[4] Hell's embassy in London, the Brass Embassy,[5] is located here[6] and is staffed by devils and goat-demons.[7] The Embassy pays Londoners well for intelligence[8] and for human souls,[9] including those from unlicensed spirifers.[10] Clathermont's Tattoo Parlour is a popular local establishment for agents of the Great Game[1] who use tattoos to encode messages and secrets.[11][12] Some of Clathermont's patrons visit nearby taverns afterwards to wind down and chat about their tattoos' meanings.[13]
Ladybones Road houses the entrance to the Clay Quarters,[14] a labyrinth under the city in which Clay Men conduct their business.[15] Moloch Street, London's station on the railway lines to Hell,[16] is also located here.[1]
Before the Fall of London, Ladybones was called Marylebone.[17][18]
Detectives for Hire
"Ladybones Road: home of detectives and rumourmongers. The best place to pick up the trail."[19]

Thanks to its mystique, Ladybones is frequented by detectives and Constables.[3] Independent detectives receive commissions to solve mysteries,[20][21] and the Constables investigate Ladybones to obtain intelligence on the Brass Embassy and the Great Game.[22][11] Concord Square, the Constables' headquarters,[23] is also located in this district.[24]
Hangman's Arch is a famous landmark of Ladybones. Public hangings that often draw crowds are conducted here,[25] despite death's elusiveness in the Neath.[26] During downtime, elderly women gather beneath the Arch to gossip and sell sugared mushrooms.[27] Hanged prisoners who recover from death are exiled to the Tomb-Colonies,[28] and their discarded garmets are gifted to informants by the Constables as a traditional,[29] and sometimes morbid,[30] reward.[29]
