The Silent Saint
"A vast sheet of ice has frozen over the ossified corpse of a vanquished beast. The surface is pockmarked with failed mining attempts. Collapsed shafts extend into the frigid tomb, and abandoned mining equipment litters the ice like discarded toys."[1]
"A choir of many voices; a flower meant to grow large and perfect, debasing itself with stolen nectar. A horde of Chorister bees approach, maddened and entranced. A flower that seeks to become a hive. Amalgamy. The seventh letter. The Saint begins its tearing work."[2]

The Silent Saint is a deceased Aeginae whose frozen remains are located in the Reach.[3][4] Numerous explorers have tried to breach the ice entombing the Saint in search of riches,[5] but the cruel and frigid conditions here make mining a difficult endeavor.[6] The corpse of the Silent Saint is armored in tough grey scales,[7] some of which conceal treasures nestled into the Saint's flesh.[8] The Saint's body is also covered in many, many eyes, though most are now gone, leaving only their sockets behind.[9]
The cause of the Silent Saint's death is unknown, but according to legend, it died from gorging itself on hours. While the veracity of this tale is uncertain, the Saint's stomach is indeed still full of half-digested hours.[10] Prior to its death, the Silent Saint sought to destroy the flower known as Titania. Titania was meant to grow "large and perfect," but it "debased" itself on stolen nectar and attracted Chorister Bees to become a hive. The Saint deemed Titania's actions amalgamy and tried tearing it to pieces,[11] but its crusade failed, and Titania continues to thrive.[12]
