At some point, the Campaigner visited the Elder Continent and contracted animescence, the disease that slowly burns one's soul.[3] Though she admits she would rather be paid handsomely to treat royals,[5] she wants to travel the Unterzee to find a cure.[7] She has not yet accepted her fate, but the Campaigner wishes to ensure that if she does meet a fiery end, no one else should come to harm from it.[3]
