The Presbyterate Adventuress was exiled from the Elder Continent because her father outlived the time he was allotted (a millennium); he was killed permanently, and she was exiled along with her siblings and given a century to live. So she brought her talents to London and forged a path through the Elder Continent for the Admiralty, one that even the Presbyterate was unaware of. This, and the resulting victories in various respects (intelligence, war, et cetera), led to the founding of London's only colony, Port Carnelian. The Presbyterate has not forgotten this, nor how many years she has left.
