The Constables are what remains of London's police force. A separate but similar branch of constables called Special Constables work under Mr Pages' Ministry of Public Decency, and their duties include censorship as well as acting as enforcers for the Masters.

Honey-addled detective is one of a greatest detectives in Fallen London, whose professional abilities was severely crippled by prisoner's honey addiction. His glory days are long gone, nowadays he lives in a tiny apartment on Moloch street and mostly work with freelance detectives who are just beginning their carriers. A few visitors who manage to locate his place of living often find detective consumed by honey dream, reimagining his great affairs of the past[2] . But even in this poor mental state he is still a great mind nonetheless, and even professionals, such as The Last constable, often seeks his advice[3]

Honey-addled detective's trail gets lost as time passes. Is that because of his addiction progressing, or just a result of quiet life? Those few who still remember old times in the Neath after London ascended say, that at some point people started to refer to him as honey-wrecked detective, what is not a good sign[4].
