"Afterward, Hell, having no interest in maintaining a military garrison, forged a highly local law to ensure that the waterwheel could be used by no one. Now it burns constantly."[1]

The Eversmoulder is a burning water wheel in the Hinterlands,[2] accessible from Jericho Locks.[3] It was once used by Hell to power a base that watched over the canals, but during the Campaign of '68 it was captured by London. After the war, Hell used a law to leave the wheel eternally burning, its flames relighting even after being submerged.[4] Mysteriously, graffiti can be found here, hinting at the workings of the Great Game.[5][6]
