December is the elusive leader of the Calendar Council. Their origins and place on the Great Chain are unknown, and their lupine mask may be their actual face. They know a great deal about the Judgements.[1]
The Curt Relicker was a member of the Calendar Council who fell in love with December. December did not return his feelings, and had him expelled from the Council. While disinterested in romance, December speaks to their followers warmly and seems to genuinely care for the rest of the Council.[2]
In the storyline Evolution, The Bishop of St Fiacre's states, "Death's sibling is a Chain-Breaker. Sometimes they conspire as the Twelfth Month. Whenever they visit London, we take tea. I would have them stand beside us at the Mountain's foot. With their aid, we could win the Garden." Implying December of the Calendar Council and Death are related.
In the Sunless Skies timeline, as of 1906, December has left the Neath with January and February. The three revolutionaries reside in Pan in Eleutheria.[3]
