The Book of Pilgrims
Describing the White City is difficult, due to the Law-Furnace constently at work.[1] Sometimes, it is described as a city, other times it is described as a book.[2] However, we can say certain things with certainty.
Hell is surrounded by walls and towers surrounding the main gate.[3] From Marigold to this gate, the road to Hell is paved with white stones[4] (and not, as it was once thought, good intentions). The city is filled with smog, because of all Law-Furnaces.[5] you can see the Square of Heroes and Martyr, covered in statues, who sometimes crumble, because "all thing falls in the end."[6] Other place mentioned are the Clarity of Bells,[7][8] Manse of Sacrifice,[6] and the Sanctity of Saviours,[9] The city also contained garden and glass house.[10]
