In the past, the Viric Jungle was one of the many battlegrounds of the war between the [[Cats]] and the [[Fingerkings]]; they kept an uneasy armistice thereafter, though the Viscountess remained suspicious that the Fingerkings were compromising their agreement by damaging the Jungle's terrain.<ref>{{Citation|https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Join_the_Viscountess_of_the_Viric_Jungle_in_her_patrols_(12_FATE)|Join the Viscountess of the Viric Jungle in her patrols (12 FATE)|Fallen London|}} ''""This was a battleground.
