| One of the Unterzee's most ferocious zee-beasts, Mt Nomad is a gigantic, purple mountain floating in the most northerly reaches of the zee, near the mysterious Avid Horizon. Her mother is the zee-god Stone, making her the granddaughter of the Echo Bazaar; her father is the Thief-of-Faces, the first Snuffer.
| | "Their glassy blackness recalls Mt Nomad, the predatory terrain feature which haunts the blackness of Void's Approach. What is their connection?" It is unknown what these creatures are or what connection they have to the far more fearsome Mt.Nomad, but they share some connection to the Void beyond. Perhaps they share a father, or perhaps she is their mother, we cannot ask either party for the truth. |

| Mt Nomad may also be connected to the Lifebergs that drift near her in the Void's Approach. It is unknown what these creatures are or what connection they have to the far more fearsome Nomad, but they share some connection to the Void beyond. Perhaps they all share a father, or perhaps she is their mother, but of course we cannot ask either party for the truth. | | ==== Mt. Nomad's Treasures ==== |
| | | While she is a fearsome beast that can challenge even the largest ships London has to offer, the rewards for hunting the fearsome beast are often too good for a brave or crazy man to resist. Within her stone skin lies treasures and Mt.Nomad's Heart, a smooth golden egg that the men of the Chelonate would trade incredible things. Do be warned, however, of staying on her corpse for too long. Mt.Nomad, no doubt thanks to her lineage, can never stay dead, and will quickly revive and take anyone with her as she submerges. |
| == A Living Weapon == | |
| <blockquote>"The Mountain cast us all out of the Garden, when it found that our progenitor had taken jewels from its wombs, to make a weapon to serve its hatred. I will tell you of the weapon it made."</blockquote><blockquote>"And you see the black glass shadow on the green glass of the zee. You hear its groaning hunger, and the death of the ships it breaks. You see its father the Thief-of-Faces, coming and going, dwelling in it for a time like a maggot in a peach."</blockquote>Long ago, the Thief-of-Faces, the first Snuffer, stole jewels from Stone's wombs and used them to create Mt Nomad, a weapon to "serve its hatred." In case you can't already tell from the rampaging glass mountain, the Thief hates a lot of things.
