The people of the Neath... or at least, those who resemble people more than most. Humanity in the Neath primarily consists of inhabitants and descendants of the various Fallen Cities, the people of the Elder Continent, and Surface folk who have either journeyed below temporarily or settled permanently.
The people of the Neath. Or, at least, those who seem more people than other.

A note: the Neath is home to many sapient beings with human-like traits. However, most of these do not fully qualify as human, either due to disqualifying characteristics or a lack of essential features; in particular, the ability to return from a trip with the Boatman is reserved for humans,
As a small footnote: there are multiple types of beings in the Neath that may be considered "human" per se. Tomb-colonists are essentially folks who refused to just die, and snuffers have an extra element of grotesqueness to make them unique.Β It is also worth mentioning that death works quite oddly in the Neath thanks to the presence of the life-giving Elder Continent; plain old everyday folks are very hard to kill permanently. Decapitation is one of the few injuries that is sufficient to conclusively end someone's life; cantigaster venom will also do the trick.
