"Well, my patron hopes that you find these little gifts to your liking, and he expects that perhaps some day you might choose to call on him at the Medusa's Head. Should that day come, we will make you very welcome and give you any safe conduct what you might require. Good evening to you."

The Blind Bruiser is the Cheery Man's middleman. He came to the assistance of many captain in exchange for smuggling cargo for his mentor.

He speaks in an overly eloquent and polite manner, but his men are anything but. Those who double-cross him are going to face grim repercussions, men being crippled is going to be the least of it.

He is also commissioned several captain to look for the Cheery Man's daughter, the Last Constable.

Men of Wit and Vinegar

"I thought I was cursed, but you know what? I think living an honest life is just bloody difficult. It's a hard road to walk, the straight and narrow. And my feet are crooked."

Art from Sunless Skies

In the Sunless Skies timeline, the Blind Bruiser leave the Cheery Man and decide to turns a new leaf. He establishes a genuine lumber company named Wit & Vinegar, a company in Albion that operate in the Reach. He seems to favoured the Tacketies more than the Stovepipes.

However he cannot stay away from committing illegal activity. Now the formerly legit lumber company became a front for smuggling Ministry-Condemned Literature from Albion to other region such as the Reach and Eleutheria.

Being the head of a smuggling operation he now has his own Middleman, though he is gloomy and less polite than the Bruiser.
