Eaters of the Dead

Eaters of the Dead are horrible, twisted monsters that hunt and thin out the ranks of the unwanted dead in the Blue Kingdom. An Eater's outward appearance is an amalgam of several different earthly animals - one is described as a combination of a crocodile, a hippopotamus, and a peacock.[2] The creature's insides are similarly bizarre; its bones are lined with fragmented Correspondence sigils, and its organs are twisted and half-melted.[3] Due to the Eater's curious internal structure and its mismatched appearance, it's possible that its kind is not a naturally occurring species, and is instead intentionally created or modified.[4]
