The Smoking Shore
"On the shoulder of a brimstone sea, the Smoking Shore is lambent with fog and roiling plumes of smoke. To step inside it is to feel like one is within the breath of a dragon.
"Great battles have been fought here and will be so again. The cats guard it fiercely from the Fingerkings and their allies, long rumoured to exist beyond the sea."[1]
The Smoking Shore is the coastline of the Parabolan Smoking Sea.[2] often contested between the warring factions of Parabola.[3] Surrounded by volcanic terrain[4] and tidal pools of viric,[5] this sea sits near the heart of Parabola.[6]
There is a temple to the King of Cats on this treacherous shore.[7] A gardener from the Fourth City, called the Violet Horticulturist, also resides in a quiet enclave near the shore.[8]
