The Tracklayer's Union
The Tracklayer's Union is the guild of workers responsible for building the Moloch Street railroad and the Great Hellbound Railway. They are divided into three revolutionary factions: the Liberationists, the Prehistoricists, and the Emancipationists.[1]
The Liberationists seek the Liberation of Night: the destruction of all laws, including the laws of nature. Their goals are best represented by January, a potential leader of the Union.[2]
The Prehistoricists seek to use the Shapeling Arts to create creatures to help laborers and oppose the Masters. Their goals are best represented by Cornelius, another potential leader of the Union.[3]
Unlike the other two factions, the Emancipationists do not have a greater underlying plan. They are focused directly on the health and survival of workers in the near future. Their goals are best represented by Furnace Ancona, the first leader of the Union.[4]
