"You stand in the midst of a snarl of toppled masonry, dominated by great bell towers still sounding their own death knells. The ravages of time have brought this once proud palace low."[1]

The Progress of the Bells is a location near Marigold Station in the Hinterlands.[2] It is a massive, decaying palace whose bell towers are eternally ringing.[3] It once belonged to Grand Devils,[4] and accordingly contains remnants of hives.[5] During the Season of Revolutions, Hell used Law-Furnaces to accelerate its deterioration[6] and decree it would stagnate "until Hell's fall."[7] Within the palace's amphitheater are two enormous corpses of the castle's former inhabitants, locked in dying embrace.[8]
