The Canal's Secrets

"The Guild is permitted to take paying passengers on tours of the canals – if you can persuade them to take you."

"The captain reminds you of the rules: no music on the river but the viol. No getting out of the boat unless extreme circumstances demand or your bargeman permits. Only a single stopping point per route permitted. This done, she sets her black oar into the ruddy water and you set off."
