Nook is the name of a large creature embedded under the zee that is colonized by various people.

An etched tooth-house in the upper cavities is filled with air pockets. This allows activities that are normally unable to be performed in Nook's breathable water, such as having a conversation. This house is maintained only by a Flinty Latitudinarian who "cares not a damn" at whatever else happening outside of Nook.

Nook originated from the High Wilderness, where it hunted between the stars. It may belong to the same species as Storm.
