"A woman in an iridescent green gown waves vaguely from a rock near the shore. Sorrowful sighs waft across the water towards you. An idiot castaway? A mermaid?"[1]
Siren-Serpents, known scientifically as Serpentus sirenesis,[2] are serpentine creatures who menace the Unterzee. They possess sharp teeth, bullet-resistant skin, and maws large enough to swallow pigs whole.[3][4] They are most infamous for their preferred means of hunting: they disguise their tails as humanoid apparitions and produce human-like calls to lure those nearby.[5][6] For this reason, the Siren-Serpent is known vulgarly as Neptune's Harlot.[7]
Siren-Serpents lay their eggs on rock formations,[8] and newly-hatched serpents are called Harlot-Fry. Notably, even hatchling serpents possess extremely sharp teeth.[9]
