She has a cabin, but usually sleeps on a spare mattress in the engine-room. There, she can hear the rhythm and rumble of the engine, and wake when it hiccups. Her cats have all found favourite places among the machinery and pipework.[1]

As someone who, before Piranesi, had a form generally masculine, [4] and whose true form, once she had any choice in the matter, is feminine,[3] the Felined Eccentric aligns with the transfeminine experience.
