"Higher, higher. Now the Unterzee shimmers like glass below. Children clambering in crevices cheer and wave alarmingly. The winch-motor slows, and you hang in a cradle next to a red-bowed pirate cutter."[1]

Gaider's Mourn is a pirate citadel located in the heart of the Corsair's Forest.[2]

Pirate's Paradise

Build halfway across a gigantic stalagmite, The Mourn teems with all sorts of pirates, smugglers and other individuals of dubious reputation.[3][4] This leads to many different groups from across The Unterzee mingling together, most commonly inside of The Mourn's drinking-den called The Arrant Limpet.[5][6] A consequence of attracting people with a certain kind of temperament, as well as the aforementioned "melting pot" quality, is that dangerous fights happen quite frequently- a danger magnified many times by the town's narrow walkways and being built hundreds of feet above the surface of The Unterzee.[7][8][9]
