The Blue Kingdom is a domain of the High Wilderness, populated by the dead and gone. It is ruled by a star, The Sapphir'd King.

"How are you seen in the Blue Kingdom?"

The Blue Kingdom is basically a heavenly bureaucracy, and it is where the dead of the High Wilderness go to be judged and processed. Since it is still under the control of an uncontested star, the Kingdom does not suffer from the same alien geometries as the other regions. Despite this, the Kingdom is still extremely dangerous, and it is positively packed with sky-beasts and other dangers.

Because the population of the Kingdom is, well, dead, supplies can be hard to come by. Instead, the markets here sell Petrichor, which may or may not be safe to consume. Spirits in the Blue Kingdom often wear porcelain masks, and the Kingdom is home to all kinds of dead, humanoid or otherwise. This includes animals and even Rubbery Men.

The Blue Kingdom is patrolled by the Logoi, or living Correspondence symbols. Each Logoi belongs to a certain Order, and they attack those they deem to be enemies. They determine this using a spirit's status.

The four statuses of the Blue Kingdom are:
*Invisible: The worst of the four statuses. Beings who are designated as Invisible have not been registered by the Kingdom's bookkeepers, so all Logoi attack them on sight.
*Antedeceased: Beings who are registered as alive are considered this. Antedeceased have limited access to the Blue Kingdom's services, but they must watch out for those who are keen on preserving the natural order.
*Yoked: The Yoked are those that have pledged themselves to the Blue Kingdom. They may be granted certain privileges, such as an audience with the Arbiter of Fates, but they are also subject to being scrutinized by the Kingdom's enforcers, who ensure that "no one is overly seen or excessively heard".
*Ephemera: Spirits who came to the Kingdom in the proper way: by dying. These beings are due for Death's Door, assuming they are deemed worthy of passing through.

Horologion
"The great dial, Horologion, is in motion. It is the clock of the Blue Kingdom, dictating the hours of the Observances: rituals which govern the progress of the spirit toward Death's Door."

"Beneath its face, thousands of spirits labour to power its revolution. Above, greater spirits of aureate majesty preside over the regular Observances."

Horologion is an enormous dial that serves as the timekeeping device of the Blue Kingdom. It is used to determine the time of Observances, which are mandatory for spirits of certain statuses.
