"She is held upon a Verdigris throne that encases her lower body. Her crown is a goblet and from her mouth, wine flows. Only the movement of her eyes suggests life: all seven fix upon you."[1]

Not much is known about the Vintner, but we do know that she is the oldest Grand Devil, or one of the oldest.[2] This scarlet saint oversaw the distillation of souls, a process that seems to be half religious ceremony and half brewery.[3] The last remnants of her living self reside in the Progress of the Bells, in the Hinterlands near Hell.[4]

  4. Beseech the Vintner, Fallen London "The Vintner is long dead. Her corpse is scattered across the Progress, her tongue the clapper of a great bell, her blood a vintage in Hell. But in the Progress, she stands held at the moment of her end."
