They call the place on the edge of the East the Deconstruction, where all sound becomes deafening silence thanks to Salt's light.[1][2][3] Even the false-stars do not go this far;[4] indeed, all light here is bent by the weight of the roof, until it reaches a breaking point and time penetrates into space.[5]
