"Rods of steel run through the Boundling's inflamed, swollen flesh. Its body had warped to fit its cage; even its red eyes are distorted, pulled out of alignment by the band across its face."[1]

Boundlings are unfortunate fish that lurk the depths of the Unterzee. They resemble extremely large tuna, but their bodies have been horrifically warped by the metal cages and rods driven into them.[2][3] The Boundlings' torment was likely inflicted by the New Sequence, who are known to perform similar procedures on the equally-miserable Bound-Sharks.[4]
